Kim Delaney was an American actress from America. The actress is best known for her role as the detective Diane Russell, in the ABC show NYPD Blue. For this she was awarded an Emmy Award. The most notable role she has played is her part in All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives. Delaney is the sole child of a United Auto Workers senior executive and domestic worker was raised by her four brothers and sisters. She dreamed of being a reporter for the court in childhood but started modelling while in high school and eventually gaining commercials following her move into New York. The role she was given was that of a child's innocence in the soap-opera All My Children. The career of Delaney has been filled with a variety of television shows and dramas. While she has a career success, her private life isn't as successful and happy. There were two divorces that failed and fought with addiction issues. In 2005, her custody was taken away from her.
